The human body is a self-healing entity.

The human body is a self-healing entity.

The human body is a self-healing entity.

Dr. Grana's job as your physician is to gently assist you in regaining your body's  ability to heal itself.

Dr. Grana treats every patient as an individual. She recognizes that no two people are identical and no two illnesses are exactly the same. Her goal is to provide you with medical care that is uniquely designed for you.

The Four Tenets of Osteopathic Medicine

The human body is a self-healing entity.

The human body is a self-healing entity.

 1.  The body is a unit; the person is a unit of body, mind, and spirit.

This means two things: everything in your body is connected to everything else in your body; and every person is comprised of body, mind and spirit.

As osteopathic physicians we are trained to look at each patient as a combination of body, mind and spirit.

The remaining foundational beliefs of osteopathic medicine are:

  • The body is capable of self-regulation, self-healing, and health maintenance.
  • Structure and function are reciprocally interrelated.
  • Rational treatment is based upon an understanding of the basic principles of body unity, self-regulation, and the interrelationship of structure and function.
